Danish Muslim Aid Complaint Mechanism

Danish Muslim Aid is committed to upholding the highest ethical standards in all our work. This page provides information on our complaint mechanism, which allows participants in our activities, volunteers, employees, business partners, NGO partners, members, and members of the public to report concerns or complaints regarding our operations, including suspected illegal activities or serious matters such as financial misconduct and sexual abuse.

We value transparency and accountability in all our programs, and we encourage you to report any safeguarding concerns, fraud, corruption, or misconduct. Danish Muslim Aid’s complaint mechanism ensures that anyone who has experienced or witnessed concerning behavior can safely report it without fear of retaliation.

Commitment to Zero Tolerance

Danish Muslim Aid has a zero-tolerance policy on sexual harassment, abuse, exploitation, violence, and financial misconduct. This means we take preventive measures to create a safe environment and act with urgency when issues arise. All employees, partners, and volunteers are expected to adhere to Danish Muslim Aid’s Code of Conduct, which outlines our core values and behavior expectations to ensure respect and safety for all. Anti-corruption and safeguarding

Danish Muslim Aid has an Anti-corruption Policy in place to prevent corruption and fraud with humanitarian/development funds. Furthermore, to protect the people we work with, as well as our colleagues and volunteers, from all forms of sexual harassment, abuse, exploitation, or violence, Danish Muslim Aid has established comprehensive safeguarding policies and procedures.

How to Report a Concern

You can submit your report by contacting Danish Muslim Aid via our secure email speakup@dmaid.dk. Reports can be submitted anonymously if preferred, and all personal information will be handled according to applicable data protection rules. If you are an employee and your concern involves staff-related matters, such as issues with management, harassment, or other workplace conflicts, please contact your direct supervisor or the Secretary General. If these avenues are not available, you may use this complaint mechanism to report your concerns via our secure email speakup@dmaid.dk.
